Game Secrets

By now, everyone has finished Red, Blue and Yellow version with 150 Pokémon. I'm not about to put up a big section about where every HM and TM are, or where you can catch a Pikachu, or how to defeat the gym trainers. I couldn't be frigged doing that, and besides this site is for AAMRN. If you want the above information go search for it on altavista. Git outa here! Those who want helpful hints after you've completed the game, read on.

The thing you will need to know most, after completing the game, is how to train Pokémon sucessfully, so you can bash your friends. There are a few shortcuts and strategies to help.

First of all, if you want to buff up your favorite Pokémon then you will need lots of items! So go clone a few. Here's how:

  1. You need to have Pokémon with FLY and SURF. It helps to have a Lv.50+ Pokémon too.

  2. Get a good item to duplicate eg. Rare Candy, PP plus. Put it in the 6th item position on the menu.

  3. FLY to Veriddian and talk to the gate man. Get him to catch a Pokémon.

  4. FLY directly to Fuscha city, without entering shops etc. Jump down the hills to the beach.

  5. SURF to Seafoam Islands and go up and down the coast. Half on water, half on land.

  6. It takes a while but a gronky looking Pokémon appears (Missingno.). Kill it. Afterwards others will apear.

  7. Check your items. A skrood shape should be there instead of the number.

  8. Repeat by switching items. The effect is ruined by walking on land or restarting. Just repeat the above.

This trick won't harm your game, trust me.

 

An interesting fact is that Pokémon raised on Candy, are weaker than trained ones and trained ones who have been trained on weaker Pokémon are stronger than Pokémon who have battled tougher ones, and evolved more than one level etc. The ideal Pokémon would be a Lv.100 Alakazam, raised by fighting Lv.2 Rattata's and Pidgey's. I don't have the patience, though.

 

Most Pokémon are good once they level up. But if you want to get serious, then you should consider using primarily psychic Pokémon, because no matter what Pokémon your opponet brings out, you can just whap down your Lv.100 Alakazam and let is piss the heavens all over the other one. They're my favourite.
